Life has an uncanny method,

To return us to default settings,

In the light of day I see myself,

I haven't slept or made any progress,

The drowsy wake-up,

That calls to me,

Life moves on swiftly,

The clouds gather and the rain starts,

t hadn't crossed my mind,

That one day I'd just up and leave,

I see my path laid out for me,

I read the trends and what needs doing,

A wild guess that made me think,

The dream that came and showed me things,

Fairyland of endless possibilities,

I wander around thinking of my wishes,

Ideas come and run amock,

I see different paths on what needs to be done,

Below the surface I remain unconscious,

Steady breaths that drown the noise,

The words that churn and mingle within,

I twist and turn but have to say it,

Days start and end the same,

In between a coloured glaze,

I need to take myself slowly,

I'm drowning in a sea of self-despair,

Take the bull by the horns,

Be vulnerable be weak,

Love is the answer and my prayer,

I search to no avail,

Love that changes who I am,

A peace that envelops my conscious being,

Like a stagnant log that doesn't move an inch,

In this dense forest that light barely penetrates,

Constant banging and dreams of longing,

The unending desires to pick up anything,

The coral pinches below my feet,

The blue sea calls to the adventurer in me,

It is very cold in here,

And the outside reflects my heart,
