That rest was all I needed,

It made me happy too,

Blue it is,

An expression of the calm,

I left that concert floor,

And met the most absurd of folks,

My therapy in all seasons,

That life brings to test and to acquit me,

A healthy appetite is all I ask,

To do all things I can think of,

Waking up is an art and skill,

To disengage from the wonderful rest,

Love looks at me with pain,

I wonder what I did to it,

Is it better this way, Or is it not?

I'm getting more ideas,

A day like this has not been seen,

I know I can move forward and ask around,

In this new day, Where everything aches,

I'm glad I started and kept at it,

The words never cease,

A full spring exists within my soul,

Reflections are the way to grow,

Criticism strengthens our survival instincts,

A deep breath is all I need,

To shake it off and bring it back,

I am awake in the middle of the night,

My breathing is quiet as I type this,

This time of day is so peaceful,

A new start and happy place,

The most interesting things I see,

Are the heaviest scarred,

I start today with strength,

That walks besides this soul,

Late nights into the morning light,

I wonder how my mind works,

Everyday the small things turn to big,

The mundane often is lost to us,

A new day brings a new lens,

A clear path and a chastened heart,
