Thousand Steps

A thousand steps in this direction,

I've walked and matched towards the end,

I knew it was my path in life,

To make a change and follow through,

The grace and strength I have today,

From the source of all life and truth,

I dare not take credit for myself,

But look to another to provide the peace I need,

I know handing power is hard for most,

But truly I cannot take this oath alone,

With guidance I plough and await his hand,

To walk together along this life.
