Newborn

A newborn that thirsts for help,

The timeless story of man's demise,

I stand here and look around,

The same old afflictions keep at me,

I don't know what I'm about,

But I do know what I believe in,

The upward and downward trends in life,

That makes me wonder if I'm alright,

I won't delay in this pit for long,

Am dirty but energized to take the throne,

Of this disease that thinks it has worn,

Watch me stand up and run like mad.
