This day started out well,

A dream and fantasy of the future,

A dreamless sleep as I've never had,

Combing through what it’s meant to be,

Life shows us its fangs,

The type that scares and drowns,

It pours and drains away,

Trying to hold on to it,

This life and daily grind,

Its unique way of reminding me of,

Everyday it is earlier and faster,

Is it that I'm older and more tired?

Waking up and sleeping in,

Standing tall and crawling away,

I look out and want to sleep in,

The endorphins high that comes from scrolling,

The dreams I have, I wonder too,

How I see things I cannot explain,
