Making Due
Early and late as the hustle reduces and clarity ensues,
A sense that all is not well settles in,
The journey seems to be an unclear road of thistles and worms,
The darkness is engulfing and there seems to be no way,
Was my life meant to be this way?
A glimmer of hope that seems so far,
Work and life seem to want to get in the way,
Making due has become a way of life,
But I want more for myself today,
I cannot shuffle and stumble all through,
A new light and way has come through now,
To grasp and pick is to remind myself,
That I deserve the best and should think of me,
Loyalty and friendship are great in life,
But a sense of self and peace is not making due.
