Lingering Pain

The lingering pain that doesn't go away,

I've tried it all to no avail,

I refuse to have this as part of me,

I want to be alive and free,

But pain follows throughout my daily plan,

I foresee a day when it will be clear,

And I'll be well enough to shimmer,

So I'll stand and wait for this storm to pass,

Because I know I'm meant for more.
