Dark Day

A dark day with dark energy,

I want to sit and do nothing today,

The truth is I expend much energy at work,

So my tank is empty to do my own thing,

I wonder if it’s a consequence of how,

I grind and try to do so much more,

I want to create an inclusive space,

For me to thrive and do this work,

I know it can catch up with me,

But doing my best is a circular game,

So today I trudge along this path,

I know I can balance a bit more.
