Bruised and Bloodied

Bruised and bloodied,

A weekly occurrence,

I shudder at the aftermath,

A disastrous gruesome affair,

Is this how life will be?

Or I could make it easier,

I struggle to let things go,

But the bigger fear is succeeding,

To trust that it can be done,

To focus on what I could accomplish,

I need to change to make this work,

Realign and reset,

My life to myself,

So here I stand with these new ideas.
