Lone Tree

A lone tree in the midst of the desert,

I stand tall awaiting your presence,

A big boulder at the edge of the cliff,

I want to fall and be as carefree,

The single stalk dropping from the branch's safety,

It must feel nice to dance as it lands,

The solid concrete that is a foundation,

I must stand and defend this ground.
