Inspiration Comes

Inspiration comes and goes,

But hardship clarifies the paths,

Cuts the shit from the grain,

And reminds one of the goal,

I sit in this chair,

I look left and right,

Am I too comfortable where I am?

Or do I need to step off this pretty post?

And take a challenge that rages,

One that stops and restarts my heart,

One that reminds me of this previous gift,

The time I have in this life.
