Day's Events

A late start to the day's events,

But I'm from death's party,

I'd thought it was done,

My play was over,

And yet I returned with unfinished errands,

So here I start,

Taking the day ever slowly,

Crawling to walking,

Looking and admiring,

So glad I get another chance,

To be and to live,

To drink and to party,

With my friends and family,

Cheers to more,

Happier and healthier days.
