The Sunset Poet

So Early Today

So early today that you left me alone,

Sleep where were you in the midst of things?

I'd thought that it was just my fate,

To lie and look around this dark room,

My thoughts flew and landed in hell,

Meandering through the uneven space,

To bring me back I heard a sound,

The whistling sound of a dying alarm,

I awoke so fast I sneezed and fell,

And realised that a dream it was,

And I thanked the heavens for my life.
