The Sunset Poet

Like Grains

Like grains spread throughout the trough,

As 8 billion souls clamour to exist,

As purpose might take centre stage,

But survival and fear tackle life's fates,

We all matter and make a difference,

Not in the same way but our way,

I won't colour this poem with courage today,

Because fear and courage both drive survival,

Whatever you may be facing today,

I ask that it passes.

You come out of it,

Whether good or bad you know yourself,

Don't give up,

I hope life starts being kinder to you.
