The Sunset Poet

Sadness seeps

In the dark dregs of the soul,

As putrid and murky the miasmic depth is,

It all does make sense, doesn't it?

As heavy and floating it is,

Sadness and loneliness builds around,

It's seeps and creeps like a blanket,

Comfy and known as a friend,

Do you embrace it?

Or welcome it will open arms?

Will it stay for long or just today?

So as I bid you farewell,

I sit here and feel so cold,

Is it always like this?

Can I stand by myself and find a friend,

Now that sadness seeps away?
