Peaceful winds

The dead of the night as the wind bellows,

The peaceful whisper of rustling winds,

A rush of cars that spew and clank,

Reminds me of a summer night,

When all is still and slightly eerie,

To seek ones mind in a tranquil tryst,

The healing balm of a result sleep,

Makes me want to crawl back and sleep,

Is life this hard to escape in sleep,

Recreate the winds of peaceful nights,

But when it lapses and life calls out,

Am sad but happy not stuck in paralysis,

So I wake up this night to peaceful winds.
