Pacific Landing

As I move outside my comfort zone,

When the tide is far away,

I start with lurking around the fast waters,

Looking to view the ocean line,

And far away I can see the horizon,

Blazing beauty of the Pacific even as I stand,

Landing on my feet or swimming to the horizon,

Are options on my to do list.

When it's all said and done today,

The view is so wild and a pretty blue,

The blues and the hues that stretch across the skies,

The soft clouds that billow and change,

It makes me appreciate the view,

And makes comfort a past thought.

So I want to venture out today,

I want to do that which I haven't done,

I want to swim for the Pacific landing,

Somewhere in the vast ocean.
