The Sunset Poet

Hustle and bustle

In life and love,

As we trot and leap,

Are times that stretch the mind of man,

Through fear and courage,

Adrenaline surges,

But when it falls what's left's a shell,

The hustle and bustle,

Can I take any more,

Seems hard and rough,

To stick around.

So tired and worn,

But my soul goes on,

Is life a brute,

That steals my song,

As this day dawn breaks,

I rise again,

To knead and row,

Through this darkened sea.
