Forget Me Not

As the dew clears and the light brightens,

A familiar feeling of want arises,

A reminder that it's not the same place,

A clarity that I could potentially move out,

The nostalgia and fear of the unknown,

Quick, fast and out it moves,

But once bitten twice shy,

A forget me not is all I can mean,

Because my heart is gone although here with you,

To know I tried but it was too late for us.
